The Salesmsg AI Agents support Knowledge Base to provide smarter, more accurate responses by allowing you to upload files and use more information from these files to generate the replies from the Agent.

Setup
Navigate to Settings - AI Knowledge Base section. You will see either empty page or list of files uploaded to your knowledge base.
Upload new files or remove old ones to update the knowledge base. Note that files may take some time to process after being uploaded.
To use the knowledge base enable "Use knowledge base" option in the "Set your conversation style" section.

Custom Text Documents in the Knowledge Base
You can now create and edit plain text documents directly in your Knowledge Base—no file uploads needed.
The editor supports Markdown for formatting like bold, headers, lists, and links. Once saved, your document processes like any uploaded file and will be ready for use by your AI Agents.
Custom documents can be edited anytime, downloaded as an .html
file, deleted with confirmation, searched by title, and previewed in HTML. If fields are left blank you’ll see a validation error, and if processing fails you’ll see a Failed status with the option to retry or edit and save again.
Each custom text document is marked with a special icon so you can quickly tell it apart from uploaded files.
Adding URLs to the Knowledge Base
You can now add web pages as Knowledge Base sources by pasting in a URL. Just select Add from URL, enter the link, and Salesmsg will scrape the page, clean out navigation and ads, and save the content as a searchable HTML document for your AI Agents.
Once added, the document appears in your Knowledge Base list with a link icon, status (Processing → Ready), date added, and last update details.
Documents can be downloaded, deleted, or previewed just like uploaded files.

Can each AI Bot have their own documents?
Yes, Salesmsg supports document specific access to each Agent.
Why would I use this?
Because when you provide a lot of information for an AI Agent to "learn" putting it in this format that is more easily ingested will yield better results.
