How to Enable AI for Broadcast Replies

  1. In your Salesmsg account, go to your Broadcasts page.

  2. Click New Broadcast in the top right corner.

  3. Scroll down to the Advanced section.

  4. Toggle Handle replies with AI Agent to ON.

  5. From the dropdown menu, select an Active AI Agent to manage replies automatically.

If you don’t yet have an AI Agent, choose + New Agent from the dropdown to create one directly from the Broadcast setup page.


How It Works

Once enabled, your chosen AI Agent automatically handles any replies that come directly after your Broadcast message—continuing the conversation naturally and keeping your contact engaged.

This means your contacts can respond right away, and your AI Agent will take it from there—answering questions, providing information, or scheduling a follow-up without you needing to jump in.

AI Reply Handling Rules

Your AI Agent will only take over when:

  • The contact’s reply comes directly after the Broadcast message.

  • The AI Agent has no other active session with that contact.

  • The selected AI Agent is currently active.

If any of these conditions aren’t met, the AI Agent will not step in, ensuring the right context is maintained in every conversation.


Advanced Options and Controls

  • The AI handling option is off by default—you decide when to turn it on.

  • Only Active AI Agents available to your user profile will appear in the list.

  • When you open the dropdown, the placeholder text changes from Select to Search, allowing you to find the right AI Agent quickly.

  • The same control is used in the Engage with AI Agent modal, ensuring a consistent experience across Salesmsg.

If you toggle AI on but forget to select an Agent, a quick validation will appear when you click Review and Send.

If you have no AI Agents available, only the + New Agent option will be shown.


Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I turn on AI but don’t select an Agent?

You’ll receive a validation prompt when sending your Broadcast. Just select an active AI Agent before proceeding.

Can I create a new AI Agent from the Broadcast setup page?

Yes! Simply click + New Agent in the dropdown menu.

Will the AI reply to every message?

Only direct replies to your Broadcast will trigger the AI. If the contact sends a message later or another conversation occurs in between, the AI won’t step in.

What if I don’t have permission to use AI Agents or Broadcasts?

The feature and Product Updates window will remain hidden for your profile.
