EIN (Employer Identification Number)
A 9-digit number from the IRS, formatted XX-XXXXXXX. Find it on:
Your IRS CP-575 confirmation letter (issued when you got your EIN)
A previous federal tax return
Your business bank account documents
Lost it? Call the IRS at 1-800-829-4933 and request a 147C letter (the official replacement for a CP-575).
Legal business name
The official name registered with the IRS β not your DBA or brand name. Punctuation and abbreviations (LLC, Inc.) must match exactly. Find it on your CP-575, Articles of Incorporation, or most recent federal tax return.
Business address
The address on file with the IRS for your EIN. Find it on your CP-575 or any IRS correspondence.

Business Number (BN)
A 9-digit number from the CRA. Enter this in the EIN field. Find it on:
Your CRA My Business Account (welcome page)
Your CRA registration confirmation or any CRA letter
Your provincial registration documents (if you registered through Ontario, BC, NS, SK, NB, MB, or PEI)

Legal business name
The name registered with the CRA, exactly as it appears on your Articles of Incorporation or CRA My Business Account.
Business address
The address on file with the CRA. Find it in your CRA My Business Account or on recent CRA correspondence.
