With the Salesmsg ActiveCampaign integration, you can add text messaging to your Automation campaigns, have two-way texts with your leads and contacts, and automatically store your conversations on the contact and deal records.

How to Get Your ActiveCampaign API Details

After you log in to ActiveCampaign, on the bottom left of your screen click on Settings. Then navigate to the Developer option and select the API access options the URL and the Key.

When using your ActiveCampaign Integration you can now sift through multiple settings in the Salesmsg App Marketplace to help make your Integration flow more seamlessly.

User Mapping

Connect your Contacts from ActiveCampaign directly to their corresponding Salesmsg account. You can map up to 3 contacts or Sync the Users automatically with User Mapping.

Contact Sync

Streamline the syncing of all of your contacts from ActiveCampaign to Salesmsg with automatic Contact Sync.

With the ActiveCampaign integration, Salesmsg gives you the ability to send texts based on the Lead Owner.

Simply map your users so Salesmsg knows which ActiveCampaign user is assigned to the right Salesmsg member.

Property Mapping

When connecting Salesmsg with ActiveCampaign, you can map both default fields and custom fields to keep your contact data aligned across platforms.

How to Integrate ActiveCampaign with Salesmsg

On the bottom left of your page, click on your Avatar and select settings. then select the integrations option on the settings page to begin your integration with Salesmsg.

Connect ActiveCampaign & Enter Your API Details

Once you click the connect button a modal will pop up.

  • Paste in your ActiveCampaign API URL in the first field (make sure to add https:// if not present already)

  • Next, paste in your ActiveCampaign API Key in the field

When you're done, click Connect!


Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting

Why am I getting an error "Not Connecting" when I attempt to connect?

In most cases, this is caused by entering the wrong API credentials when submitting to Salesmsg. We'd suggest double-checking that your API credentials are correct and working from a valid ActiveCampaign account.

My Salesmsg SMS messages are not logging on to the contact's contact record in ActiveCampaign?

This is most likely because the contact was manually added to Salesmsg and never manually linked to its ActiveCampaign counterpart. Only a Salesmsg-ActiveCampaign linked contact will log SMS messages back to ActiveCampaign.

Can I See My Calls in contact record in ActiveCampaign?

Yes, calls will be logged similar to SMS in contact's recent activities.

Can I add ActiveCampaign Tags to contacts from Salesmsg?

You can add ActiveCampaign Tags to Salesmsg-ActiveCampaign linked contacts! Not only ActiveCampaign Tags but Notes as well!

How do I integrate my members?

By integrating with ActiveCampaign from your Organization Owner account, your members will automatically integrate.

How can I see Opt-in status for my Contacts?

You can see your Opt-in status in the custom field "Salesmsg: Opt-in status"


How can I tell if my integration is disconnected?

Should an error occur on ActiveCampaign or Salesmsg that disconnects your integration, the next time you log in to Salesmsg you'll see a large status bar at the top of your Salesmsg conversation page indicating your integration has disconnected.

What happens when I delete Contact in Active Campaign?

Contact in Salesmsg will remain, but will be automatically unlinked from deleted Contact on Active Campaign side.
