With Salesmsg's HubSpot integration, we give you the ability to send the text message based on the Contact Owner in HubSpot. This makes it easy to create simple, scalable, and dynamic campaigns based on the property within HubSpot.
How Would I Use This?
If you are rotating leads or assigning Contact Owners to your contacts and leads within HubSpot and you want the text messages to come from the appropriate owner, then you'd use this method.
Using this method your texts will come from the HubSpot Contact Owners Salesmsg phone number that's assigned to the contact.
How it Works
Rather than choosing to send the text from a specific number, Salesmsg will send it dynamically based on who owns the Contact.
If Mike is the HubSpot Contact Owner, then Salesmsg will send the text coming from Mike's Salesmsg number.
Subsequently, if Julia is the HubSpot Contact Owner, then Salesmsg will send the text coming from Julia's Salesmsg number.
Step 1: Map Your HubSpot Users To Salesmsg Users
As the admin of your organization's account and after you've integrated with HubSpot, you'll need to map your Hubspot users to your Salesmsg users to set up the Hubspot contact owner texts.
You can find this by going to Settings > Integrations > HubSpot Settings
Step 2: Setup Your Rotate Contact to Owner Action
In your Workflow, be sure to use the Rotate contact to owner function so HubSpot will assign the contact to the appropriate HubSpot user.
Step 3: Create Your SMS Text Message
Create a new action and search for Salesmsg: Send SMS as Contact Owner to start creating your text message.
Once you select the widget, you can start to create your SMS.
Phone Number Property
Select the phone field where the phone number for the contacts resides.
Select the phone number that text will come from.
Send a Message
Type in your SMS text message here.
These are your Salesmsg Tags, when a contact receives this message the tag will be applied to the contact.
Insert a full URL to the hosted file.
IMPORTANT: This must contain the full URL to the hosted media source. For example, https://app.salesmessage.com/images/logo-sidebar.png would be inserted into the field.
That's all there is to it! Once you map your Salesmsg users to your HubSpot users and create your SMS, this should work flawlessly and send the texts based on the HubSpot contact owner.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Salesmsg action always send from the admin and not the Contact Owner?
It's most likely that your HubSpot account is not mapped with your Salesmsg account.
The admin of the team will have to log into the HubSpot settings found in the Salesmsg dashboard and make sure that your accounts are mapped to each other.
