Google Voice numbers can only be transferred to Salesmsg through a process called porting. This means that all voice and text communication for the number will be exclusively routed via Salesmsg once the transfer is complete. Please proceed only if you intend to remove the number from your Google account entirely.
Identifying Your Google Voice Number Type
Before initiating the porting process, determine whether your Google Voice number is associated with:
Google Workspace
Personal Google Voice
The required documentation for porting varies depending on the type of account, so it's essential to identify your number type before proceeding.
Important Pre-Porting Notes
Do not cancel your Google Voice service until the porting process is fully completed.

A2P 10DLC approval is required to send SMS through Salesmsg.
Message rates for the transferred number will follow Salesmsg’s pricing.
Step 1: Gather Required Documentation
To port your Google Voice number to Salesmsg, you must provide proof of ownership. The documentation required depends on whether your number is part of Google Workspace or a personal Google Voice account.
For Google Workspace Numbers:
Obtain a Port-Out PIN
Sign in to the Google Admin console with an administrator account.
Navigate to:
Menu > Apps > Google Workspace > Google Voice
Click Number Porting.
On the Number Porting page, click Port-out Info.
In the Port-out Info window, you’ll receive a code for validation.
Obtain Additional Required Information
Depending on your location, additional information may be needed for the port request.
Sign in to the Google Admin console with an administrator account.
Navigate to:
Menu > Apps > Google Workspace > Google Voice
Click Locations to view your primary location settings.
If further details are required, contact Google Workspace support.
For Personal Google Voice Numbers
If you have a personal Google Voice number and wish to port it to Salesmsg, follow these steps:
Unlock Your Google Voice Number
Visit: Google Voice Unlock
Follow the instructions to unlock your number.
Take a screenshot showing your number’s status as Unlocked.
Step 2: Sign a Letter of Authorization
Proof that you are authorized to make changes to the Google Voice account in question is also mandatory. Here are the steps on how to provide this.

The unlocked screenshot for the personal voice account would be the alternative of a bill for the workspace voice account.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Google Voice AND Salesmsg at the same time?
Sadly no.
Google Voice numbers can be ported, but that will include SMS/MMS and voice capabilities. That means you'll lose the Google Voice features (e.g., voicemail, outbound calls, etc).
Once it's ported, Salesmsg will control the calling and texting traffic and you will no longer be able to use the Google Voice app or its features.
While Salesmsg offers the ability to text-enable Landline numbers and some VOIP numbers, with Google Voice numbers we cannot host the SMS numbers, they have to be ported to Salesmsg.
