Overview

The following release notes correspond to the different versions of Salesmsg's Salesforce Package. Each version is detailed with its release date, environment, and a list of changes included in that version.

Base Package Functionality

The Salesmsg Salesforce Package provides a suite of features designed to enhance communication and data management within the Salesforce environment. Below are the foundational features:

  • Conversational Messaging In Salesforce: Engage in text messaging conversations directly within Salesforce using the Salesmsg widget, fostering seamless communication.

  • Mass Messaging in Salesforce: Utilize mass action functionality to send SMS messages to a list of Contacts or Leads, enhancing outreach and engagement.

  • Contact and Lead Live Info Syncing: Real-time synchronization between Salesmsg and Salesforce for Contacts and Leads, ensuring data consistency across platforms.

  • Contact and Lead Timeline Activity Logging for SMS and Calls: Log SMS and call activities on Contact and Lead timelines, providing a comprehensive view of interactions.

  • Create & Update Custom Fields for Contacts and Leads: Ability to create and update custom fields, facilitating tailored data management for Contacts and Leads.

  • Integration Settings & Package Management: Configure the Salesmsg Salesforce experience to your needs with a range of settings:

    • Salesforce Integration Settings Page: Centralized page for managing integration settings.

    • Logging in Salesforce: Keep track of actions and events with Salesforce logging.

    • Salesmsg Layouts in Salesforce: Customize Salesmsg layouts within Salesforce for an optimized user experience.

    • Several user interface and server-side enhancements for a smoother Salesforce operation.

    • The system now ignores unknown Salesmsg fields in Salesforce to prevent errors.

    • Updated the "Linked Contact" field automatically after converting a lead to a contact in Timelines.

    • Adjusted brand naming within the Salesforce user interface.

    • Improved the system to send the entire contact object to Salesmsg.

    • Mass Action now reflects the quantity of recipients instead of the list name for clearer understanding.

    • Users now have the ability to resave changed layout settings.

    • Resolved an issue where the widget button was duplicating when setting up default settings by the Salesforce team.
