As a Salesmsg client, you can now leverage RCS to send personalized, modern messages to recipients whose devices and carriers support RCS. This helps you:
Increase engagement with richer message formats
Deliver more professional, branded conversations
Ensure fallback SMS/MMS delivery when RCS isn’t available
Getting Started with RCS
Step 1: Access the RCS Menu
From the Salesmsg navigation panel, select RCS.
If you don’t have an RCS Inbox yet, you’ll see an empty state.
Step 2: Add a New RCS Sender
Click + New RCS Sender.
You’ll be redirected to the RCS Submission Form (Typeform).
Provide your sender details in the form.
A Salesmsg representative will review your submission, configure compliance, and set up your RCS Sender with Twilio.
Step 3: Inbox Setup
Once your RCS Sender is configured:
A dedicated RCS Inbox is created and appears in your list of Inboxes.
You can select a fallback Inbox for contacts who don’t support RCS.
Calls are not supported in RCS Inboxes (no power dialer or call options).
Billing for RCS
RCS messages are billed the same as MMS (2 credits per message, including international).
You are also charged for failed RCS messages.
Analytics reflect both the failed RCS attempt and the subsequent fallback SMS/MMS as two separate messages.
Carrier Verification Fees
Some businesses must complete carrier verification to ensure compliant message delivery. This process includes two pass-through fees charged directly by the carriers:
$500 one time verification fee
$200 yearly renewal fee
Salesmsg does not make any money from these fees.
Timeline: Carrier verification typically takes 4 to 8 weeks to complete.
