Salesmsg Smart Views

Smart Views are saved filters that show you a personalized list of conversations. Instead of setting filters every time, you can save them once and pull them up with a single click.

Create a Smart View for all unassigned conversations in a specific inbox, or one that shows only conversations from contacts tagged with a certain tag. Once it is saved, your filtered list is always one click away.


Creating a Smart View

  1. In the left inbox menu sidebar, find the Smart Views section and click the + icon.

  2. Give your Smart View a name.

  3. Add at least one filter, to sift through contacts.

  4. Click Create.


Filter Options

  • Inbox Choose one or more inboxes. If you leave this blank, all inboxes are included.

  • Tags Filter by contact tags. If you leave this blank, all tags are included.

  • Assignee Filter by a team member, or choose "Unassigned." If you leave this blank, all assignees are included.

  • Contact Search by phone number, name, or email and pick specific contacts. If you leave this blank, all contacts are included.

  • You can combine filters with AND or OR logic.

What You See When You Click a Smart View

Clicking a Smart View applies your filters and loads a list of matching conversations. The first 25 conversations appear right away. More load as you scroll down.

If no conversations match, you will see an empty state screen letting you know.


Managing Your Smart Views

Your Smart Views appear in the left sidebar in alphabetical order. You can search for one by name using the search bar in the sidebar.

Each Smart View has a three-dot menu with three options:

  • Favorite adds it to your favorites for quicker access.

  • Edit opens it so you can update the name or filters.

  • Delete removes it after a confirmation step.

Unread Message Counter

Each Smart View shows a live count of unread messages that match its filters. This updates automatically so you always know what needs attention.

Can I have more than one filter in a Smart View?

Yes. You can add multiple filters and combine them using AND or OR logic to get exactly the conversations you need.

Who can see my Smart Views?

Smart Views are personal. Only you can see the ones you create.

Can I edit a Smart View after I create it?

Yes. Click the three-dot menu next to any Smart View and select Edit. You can update the name or change the filters at any time.

What happens if I delete a Smart View?

It is permanently removed. There is no way to recover a deleted Smart View, so double-check before confirming the deletion.

Is there a limit to how many Smart Views I can create?

There is no set limit. You can create as many as you need.

Can I share a Smart View with my team?

Sharing is not available yet. Each team member will need to create their own Smart Views.
