How it Works
Salesmsg gives you the ability to sync your text message and calling activity on the Contact and Deal Timeline so that the history of messages and calls that have been sent and received can be easily referenced.
The activities are automatically created for messages and calls that are sent and received from your Salesmsg phone numbers.
What Timelines Are Recorded
Salesmsg records the following timelines into Contacts, Deals, Companies, and Cases
SMS: both inbound and outbound messages
Calls: both inbound and outbound calls with connected, busy and not answered outcomes
Conversation notes: detailed notes on conversations with contacts
Call recordings: audio recording of a phone call
Call recording transcripts: written summaries of recorded phone call
Contact Activity Timeline
From any contact record, click on Filter activity
Under the Integrations section, click the checkbox next to Salesmsg SMS Texting & Calling to turn it on.
Scroll through the activity timeline to find the messages.
Deal Activity Timeline
From any deal record, click on Filter activity
Under the Integrations section, click the checkbox next to Salesmsg SMS Texting & Calling to turn it on.

How to Update Your Salesmsg Timeline Event Settings
Within your settings, you have the option to select when and how you want your Salesmsg activities to display in Hubspot.
1. Go To the Salesmsg HubSpot Integration Settings Page
After you integrate HubSpot from the App Marketplace page, click on the gear icon and select Settings.
2. Select Your Timeline Event Option
Salesmsg lets you individually select the types of activities that you want to be created as events on Hubspot contact and deal records.
All of the selected activity types will then be visible as timeline events on the associated Hubspot contact or deal record
Additionally, if you would prefer that Hubspot activity events be bundled into a daily recap for each contact or deal, rather than having each activity event logged individually, you can toggle off 'Log activities in Hubspot.'
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Daily Recap mean?
This will create one timeline event per day and will show the full conversation of sent and received text messages on your timeline. The daily recap will be posted to the associated contact or deal record at 9PM EST.
