How it Works
Salesmsg gives you the ability to see your text message activity on the Contact and Deal Timeline for you to see the history of messages sent and received.
The activities are automatically created for messages that are sent and received from your Salesmsg phone numbers.
What Timelines Are Recorded
Salesmsg records the following timelines into Contacts, Deals, Companies, and Cases
SMS: both inbound and outbound messages
Calls: both inbound and outbound calls with connected, busy and not answered outcomes
Conversation notes: detailed notes on conversations with contacts
Call recordings: audio recording of a phone call
Call recording transcripts: written summaries of recorded phone call
Contact Activity Timeline
From any contact record, click on Filter activity
Under the Integrations section, click the checkbox next to Salesmsg to turn it on.
Scroll through the activity timeline to find the messages.
Deal Activity Timeline
From any deal record, click on Filter activity
Under the Integrations section, click the checkbox next to Salesmsg to turn it on.

How to Update Your Salesmsg Timeline Event Settings
Within your settings, you have the option to select when and how you want your activities to display.
1. Go To the Salesmsg HubSpot Settings Page
After you integrate HubSpot from the Integrations page, click on the 3 dots and select Settings.
2. Select Your Timeline Event Option
Salesmsg gives you two options on when to create activities on your contact and deal records.
All activities will then be visible in the timeline associated with the contact:
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Event Per Message mean?
This will create a new unique timeline activity for every sent and received SMS message. This is great for testing, but not recommended as it will quickly fill your timeline with lots of text messages.
What does Daily Conversation Recap mean?
This will create one timeline event per day and will show the full conversation of sent and received text messages on your timeline.
