Have you ever wondered how much what the impact of Salesmsg on your business is?
To help you answer this question, we introduced Conversion Tracking.
Conversion Tracking gives you the ability to easily create and track Conversions and Revenue to measure how your Broadcasts are driving your conversion rates.
Some examples of common conversion events you maybe interested in tracking include:
Sales: the number of sales and revenue generated
Leads: the number of new leads generated from your SMS campaign
Meetings Booked: drive more meetings and measure the results
How it Works
Step 1: Install the Salesmsg Tracking Code
In order to track your conversions, the first step is to copy the Javascript Code Snippet and place this across your entire website.
Go to Settings > Analytics > Conversions and click the "Get Code Snippet" button to copy your javascript code.
To install the tracking code, paste the code before the closing </body>
tag in the HTML code for each page of your site.
Step 2: Create a New Conversion
Name of Conversion
The name of the conversion. This name will appear when selecting the Conversion for Broadcasts, Triggers, and more.
URL
A URL that when a person lands on the web page, the conversion is recorded. The person must be identified in order for this method to record the conversion. An asterisk * may be used as a wildcard. Example: /thank-you?id=*
Default Value (optional)
The monetary amount that will recorded when a conversion is tracked and recorded.
Conversion Attribution
There are two ways of attributing conversions:
Count a max of one conversion per contact: use this option if you want to count a maximum of one conversion for every contact that clicks on your link and successfully converts. A good example would be signing up for webinar, where by you would only want to count one registration per invitee.
Count every conversion: use this option if multiple conversions per contact are possible. For example a single contact can make multiple purchases of the same product.
Tracking Conversions with Broadcasts
When creating a Broadcasts, you can select the Conversion you wish to track and record.
IMPORTANT: In order to use this correctly, you must use the Salesmsg Link Shortener so we can track the clicks and the conversion.
Once your broadcast is live, you will be able to see the number of conversions and revenue (if tracked) will appear in your broadcast stats.
