Registering for 10DLC with EIN
If you are planning to send SMS to US numbers, you must register by filling out the required form. This process is quite simple and takes 5 to 10 minutes. Throughout this guide, you'll find examples and explanations to assist you.
How do I register for 10DLC (Low Volume or Standard)?
Depending on your messaging volume, you can register for one of two options:
Low Volume Standard - If you have a tax ID and send fewer than 6,000 message segments per day, you should re-register for a Low Volume Standard brand.
βOne-time registration fee of $4
Monthly campaign cost of $2/mo for mixed-use case or $10/mo for standard campaign types
β
Standard - If you have a tax ID and send more than 6,000 message segments per day, you should re-register for appropriate campaign types within Standard Brands. Standard brand registration includes secondary vetting which can dramatically improve your brand's trust score and result in significantly higher messaging throughput (speed per message). If you're on the fence based on your daily messaging volume, we'd strongly recommend Standard registration. Trust us, it's worth it.
βOne-time registration fee of $44
Monthly campaign cost of $10/mo
Limits Exceeded
If you've seen this warning in your Salesmsg account, this means your daily SMS volume has exceeded the carrier limits of your current 10DLC package. Not to worry, we've made this process as easy as possible to submit to the Salesmsg Customer Support team to request the upgrade to 10DLC as soon as possible.

What types of numbers are affected by A2P 10DLC?
For now, the registration for A2P 10DLC is only for local (long-code_ phone numbers in the USA.
Why has A2P 10DLC been introduced?
Carriers like Verizon introduced 10DLC to provide a sanctioned platform for businesses to send SMS and MMS messages using long codes. Their objective is to protect consumers from unwanted spam while allowing businesses to better connect with their customers. This change will also improve deliverability because 10DLC allows for higher messaging throughput than P2P long code traffic.

Age-Gate
The 10DLC campaign registration form for age-gated messages, such as those related to alcohol sales. The checkmark to approve the Age-Gate option appears at the bottom of the A2P 10DLC registration.
Since age-gated campaigns can no longer be designated via the campaign description, Salesmsg now includes the "age-gated" option on its 10DLC form to ensure such campaigns are correctly identified and approved.
Texting in the U.S. and Canada
In the Salesmsg app under Setting and the Numbers subcategory you can purchase a new 10DLC Number or a Toll-Free Number.
U.S. Contacts
When using US numbers for business messaging, 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) registration is mandatory. This process, required by US carriers, helps ensure that your messages are delivered reliably and are compliant with industry regulations.
By registering your number, you gain access to higher messaging throughput and reduce the likelihood of your messages being filtered or flagged as spam. This registration is crucial for maintaining trust and effectiveness in your messaging campaigns within the United States.

Canadian Contacts
When texting Canadian contacts, no 10DLC registration is required. This makes it easier and quicker to start sending messages to your Canadian audience without the additional steps needed for US-based texting.
Toll-Free Numbers
