Emergency Stop pauses all outbound messaging for your whole organization. Owners and Admins can turn it on from the Emergency stop section in Organization settings, after ticking an agreement.
What happens while Emergency Stop is on
While Emergency Stop is on, every outbound message from every source, including broadcasts, campaigns, workflows, automations, scheduled messages, and the API, is checked when it is due to send. If the switch is on, the message fails instead of sending.
Each failed message is marked Failed with the reason "Emergency stop", and no credits are charged.
Broadcasts, campaigns, workflows, and automations keep their status. Only their messages fail.
Every web user sees a banner at the top of the app that cannot be dismissed.
Turning Emergency Stop off
Owners and Admins can click Resume on the banner to turn Emergency Stop off. Other roles are asked to contact an admin. After you turn Emergency Stop off, new messages send and are charged as usual.
Messages that failed while it was on are not resent automatically or in bulk. You can retry a single failed message manually, the same way as any other failed message.
If turning the switch on or off fails, an error appears and the switch stays in its previous state.
