Track every click on the links you send from Salesmsg. Click Tracking Reporting shows you how many people clicked, who they were, where they clicked from, and which channels are driving the most engagement, all in one place.
How it works
Whenever you send a message containing a Salesmsg short URL, that link's activity is tracked automatically. No setup is required. As soon as a link is delivered, you can find it in your Click Tracking reports and watch its performance update as clicks come in.
Viewing all your links
Go to Analytics in the left panel.
Click Click Tracking, then select Overview.
You will see a list of every short URL you have sent, along with:
Target URL and Short URL, each with a quick copy button on hover
Source: which channels sent this link (Broadcast, Campaign, Workflow, Survey, AI Agent, or Conversation)
Sent: how many delivered messages included the link
Clicks: total clicks, including repeat clicks from the same person
Unique clicks: distinct contacts who clicked, excluding repeats and anonymous clicks
Unique click rate: the percentage of sends that led to a unique click
Credits per click: your credit cost divided by unique clicks
Inbox, Created by, and Created at
Only links that have actually been sent to someone show up here. Links you created but never sent (for example, in a saved reply) are left out.
Use the search bar to find a link by its target or short URL, or use the filters to narrow the list by type, inbox, creation date, or who created it. Click any column header to sort, and use Manage columns to choose which ones you want to see. Your column choices are remembered the next time you visit.
Digging into one link's performance
Click any row in the list to open that link's full detail view. Here you will find:
Metric tiles for sent, clicks, unique clicks, unique click rate, and credits per click
A countries breakdown showing where clicks came from, with the top three
countries plus an Other group. Hover over a country to see its exact click count, or click View all countries in the Other tooltip to see the complete list.
A device breakdown showing what device types people used to click, with the same top three plus Other format
A Usage tab listing every individual source that sent this link, so you can compare performance across specific broadcasts, campaigns, or workflows
A Contacts tab listing every identified contact the link was delivered to, with their name, email, number, tags, and send time
From the Contacts tab, you can select one or more contacts and take action right away, like adding tags, enrolling them in a campaign or workflow, sending a broadcast, or handing them to an AI Agent.
To grab the link again, click Copy Shorten URL in the header, or hover over the target or short URL for a quick copy option.
Comparing performance by channel
Go to Analytics > Click Tracking, then select Sources.
This view groups your click data by channel first, so you can quickly see whether broadcasts, campaigns, workflows, surveys, AI Agents, or conversations are driving the most engagement. Click the arrow next to any channel to expand it and see the individual sources within it, side by side with the same performance numbers.
Use the date range and type filters to narrow what you are looking at, or search to find a specific source by name.
Exporting your data
Want to dig into your click data outside Salesmsg? Open any link's detail view and click Export data. Choose CSV or TXT, and your file will download with one row per source type, showing the short URL, target URL, sends, clicks, unique clicks, click rate, and credits per click.
Exports always include a link's full history. Any search or filter you have applied on screen is not reflected in the file.
What to expect
Clicks counts every click, including repeats from the same person and anonymous clicks.
Unique clicks only counts each identified contact once, no matter how many times they click.
If a message contains more than one short link, each link is tracked and counted separately.
If the same short link appears more than once in a single message, it still only counts as one send for that message.
Credit costs are split evenly across all the different short links in a message. So if a message has two links, each one is credited for half the message's cost.
Metrics reflect the most recent successful data sync, so there may be a short delay before the newest clicks appear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see anonymous clicks in my Contacts tab?
The Contacts tab only shows identified contacts. Anonymous clicks are still counted in your total click numbers, just not listed by name.
Can I export a filtered view of my data?
Not currently. Exports always include all of a link's activity, regardless of any search or filter applied on screen.
Why is a link missing from my Overview list?
Links only appear once they have been delivered to at least one contact. A link that was created but never sent won't show up yet.
Does this replace my existing analytics for broadcasts and triggers?
No. Click Tracking Reporting is focused specifically on link performance. Your broadcast and trigger analytics are still available in their own dashboards.
