You can use Round Robin assignment to ensure conversations are evenly distributed to each teammate within an inbox. Once applied, new conversations will be assigned to each available teammate in alphabetical order.

How it Works

When new conversations come into your Inbox phone number, Salesmsg will automatically Round Robin these conversations to the members starting from the top.

So in our example below...

  • FIRST: Chris Brisson will get the 1st conversation

  • SECOND: Mallory P will get the 2nd conversation

  • THIRD: Salesmsg UK Team will get the 3rd conversation

And then it will loop back around again.

Step 1: Edit the Inbox Settings

Head over to Settings > Inboxes and select the Inbox you wish to edit.

Step 2: Click on Settings

From the selected inbox, select the Settings link.

Step 3: Tun On Round Robin Assignment

Then scroll down to Conversation Assignment and choose Round Robin Assignment.

Click Manage Members to choose the members of your team who will reply to Round Robin Assignments and click Save.

Frequently Asked Questions

My member already has a number, but can't access Salesmsg because they're being asked to pick a number.

If your member would like to get started on things as soon as possible, they should select a temporary local phone number from the number picking prompt. Numbers can always be updated later.

Can I set a default assignee and enable Round Robin?
No, by setting a default assignee you will disable the conversation assignment features.

Does Round Robin assignment apply to inbound or outbound conversations?

Inbounds only. Outbounds should be marked as unassigned in the 'outbound' filter until a reply is received.
