Seat and Phone Number Costs Explained

Learn what's already included in your subscription, and find out pricing for additional users and numbers.

Not sure how much it'll cost to add another user, or an additional phone number to your account? We got you covered!

This article will go over the general pricing and structures you can expect when inviting new users, and/or adding phone numbers to your account.


What's Included

Firstly, with any Salesmsg Pro-Monthly, or Pro-Annual subscription, the following are already included:

  • One seat (the user that signed up first, referred to as the "Owner")
    &

  • One phone number (either a local, or toll-free number)

If you decide to add more seats, or phone numbers, the general pricing is as follows:

  • Additional users/seats are $10 per month/per user*

  • Additional phone numbers are $5 per month/per phone line*

*Graduated Pricing takes effect after a certain number, see charts below for more information.


Prorated costs and your Subscription

For seats and phone numbers, depending on when you make the purchase, you may see a prorated cost up front.

This is because Salesmsg calculates the amount of time you have left until your subscription renews, and then charges you accordingly.

i.e. If your subscription is billed monthly on the 1st., and a phone number is added on the 15th, you're charged $2.50 today, and your subscription cost increases to $5/mo for each subsequent month.


Adding Inboxes quickly

When adding multiple Inboxes one after another, you might observe the phone number costs double, or even compound exponentially.

The problem is, we're asking Salesmsg to add a new Inbox, right after adding the previous one (which it does). However, just prior to doing so, we check to see how much this will cost your subscription. When we check the subscription the second time, we see your subscription is not reflecting the first inbox yet, and that was added so we return a message saying the second inbox is going to cost the price of two inboxes.

What's an Inbox?
An Inbox is where your phone number is housed, and gives you and your team, the ability to collaborate together on conversations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I assign more than one phone number to an Inbox?

Yes! You can have multiple phone numbers assigned to one Inbox!
*Please note though, that you cannot assign one phone number to multiple Inboxes.

Why does my "Numbers Used", not match how many phone numbers I have?

Since 1 phone number is automatically included with your Pro-Plan (Monthly or Annually), the counter only takes into account the phone numbers that were added, on top of your subscription.

*The same logic applies to Seats as well.

How do I know I'm paying the correct cost for my phone number?

Just prior to adding a new inbox, Salesmsg tells you how much we're going to charge you today. If that price changes after the first inbox purchase, wait a minute before adding the next and verify the cost is consistent.
