Welcome to our guide on the Mute Inbox Notification feature! This feature allows you to silence notifications for specific inboxes, making your experience more personalized and less intrusive. Here's everything you need to know about using this handy feature.

How to Mute Your Inbox

Using the Mute Inbox feature is straightforward. Follow these simple steps to silence notifications from a specific inbox:

  1. Select the 3 dots next to the Inbox in the Inbox: Navigate through the list and hover over the inbox that you wish to mute.

  2. Mute the Inbox: Look for the mute icon (it resembles a bell with a cross through it). Click on this icon to mute the selected inbox.

Once you've clicked the mute icon, you will successfully mute all notifications from this inbox. This means no sound alerts for messages or calls from this specific inbox, allowing you to concentrate without interruptions.

Remember, the mute settings will remain in effect across all your devices and will persist even after logging out and back in.

If you want to unmute the inbox at any time, simply follow the same steps and click the mute icon again to restore notifications.

The Mute Inbox Notification feature is designed to give you control over your notifications, helping you focus on what matters most. If you have any questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Away Status

Another way to control notifications is by setting your status to "Away." This approach allows you to effectively mute all inboxes and incoming notifications, ensuring you're not interrupted while taking a break or stepping away from your computer.

Handling Calls When Inbox and Group is Muted

Salesmsg now includes enhanced call handling when all members of an Inbox or ring group have muted their notifications. This ensures that calls are routed appropriately, even if no one is immediately available to answer. Hereโ€™s how the feature works:

  • If Voicemail is Set Up: The call will be routed directly to voicemail, allowing the caller to leave a message without delay.

  • If Voicemail is Not Set Up: The call will be dropped, and a missed call entry will be created in the conversation timeline, enabling your team to follow up later.

Application Across Calling Features

This call handling update applies uniformly across all Salesmsg calling features:

  • Muted Inboxes and Ring Groups: When all team members in a group or Inbox have muted their notifications, the call will follow the voicemail/drop logic based on your settings.

  • Call Distribution: If no one is available in the call distribution flow due to muting, the call will either proceed to the next step or follow the voicemail/drop rules.

  • Interactive Voice Response (IVR): Calls reaching an IVR with all muted members will either be directed to voicemail or dropped, maintaining consistent call handling.
